Dear Hiring Manager,

I am applying for the Application Security Engineer role. I have been a developer for two years, and the part of the job I enjoy most is the code review that finds a security bug before it ships.

In a demo pipeline I added SonarQube and Snyk to four repositories and cut open high-severity findings from thirty-one to nine. I wrote a ten-point pull request checklist based on the OWASP Top 10. At work, a Snyk scan flagged twenty hard-coded secrets, and I moved all of them into a vault and taught six developers to read the scanner report and fix the top three findings first.

I hold CompTIA Security+ and I have completed seventy PortSwigger labs. I would like to do this work full time. I can walk you through the pipeline and the checklist in an interview.
