Dear Hiring Manager,

I am applying for the Network Security Engineer role. Your post asks for firewall rules, VPNs and packet analysis. I do all three at an internet provider today.

I configured twenty-five VLANs and twelve site-to-site VPNs for business customers, and I fixed forty routing and firewall faults, writing the cause in each ticket. I moved eighteen firewall rules to a documented standard and removed seven that nobody could explain. In my lab I built four VLANs behind a Palo Alto virtual firewall and added Suricata on a mirror port, with five rules for port scans and DNS tunnelling.

I hold CCNA and CompTIA Security+. I want to work on security design, not only configuration, and I would be glad to draw my lab network for you in an interview.
